A French court struck down a proposed ban on social media for children under 15, citing free speech, privacy, and concerns about age verification technology.

This is a setback, but the fight for child safety online is winning in America. APP helped drive age verification laws in 24 states. In June 2025, SCOTUS upheld Texas' law 6-3. APP's own February 2026 Cygnal poll (n=1,048) shows 81 percent support for porn age verification — with a staggering 66 percent strongly in favor — and 83 percent for app store age verification. These are the most intense, bipartisan numbers in the survey.

Our kids are being robbed of innocence by hyper-sexualized platforms. Age verification is a proven tool to push back.
