Democrats have taken the lead over Republicans in economic polling for the first time in years. A new CBS survey shows socialism viewed 10 points less favorably than capitalism overall, but the gap narrows sharply among voters under 45.

Boomers can stop calling young people lazy. Rent costs are crushing, entry-level work is vanishing under AI, and worthless degrees have left a generation buried in debt. The fix isn't more bailouts for universities. It's forcing colleges to prove a degree is worth the cost — and giving families real tools like Home Savings Accounts.

APP's February 2026 Cygnal poll found 77 percent support for Home Savings Accounts with just 11 percent opposed. Voters want policies that actually help them build families, not another round of the same failed model.
